Motor Driven Roller

(MDR)

A motor drive roller conveyor (MDR) is modern powered roller system, which utilizes motorized rollers that are mounted within conveyor frames. MDR's provide quiter operation, less power consumption, lower maintenance costs and reduced overall operating costs.

Highlights

MDR’s have become one of the most widely used types of conveyors today, thanks to their efficient design. 24Volt DC Motor driven rollers utilize motorized zones, in which a motor drives each zone or multiple rollers drive longer zones. Programmable MDR drive cards are provided which enables conveyors to provide zero pressure accumulation along with variable speed options – Programmable MDR drive card EtherNet/IP compatible. MDRs are provided for ambient temperatures and can be provided with various coatings on rollers.
MDRs are offered in chain driven live roller (CDLR) – Belt Driven Live Rollers (POLY “V”) for high speed applications – Line Shaft type conveyors using “O” rings to drive the conveyor – MDRs are also used for driving chain conveyors and air operated pop up chain transfers built integral to roller conveyors.

Use Cases

MDR’s have various uses, like transporting products from point to point, providing zero pressure accumulation where parts are accumulated but don’t touch, high speed applications, and quiet applications. MDR’s are ideal for following materials:
